The Quo-Test Hb A1c Analyser is a fully automated hemoglobin A1c analyzer that uses patented boronate fluorescence quenching technology to measure glycated haemoglobinfrom a 4μl sample taken from a finger prick or venous whole blood.
Sample results are available within four minutes and are reported in IFCC and DCCT standards (Mono S & JDS reporting are also available). Quo-Test HbA1c analyzers can store up to 7,000 results which can be downloaded as text files to a PC via the integrated USB interface. Alternatively, results can be printed using the optional printer which connects via a serial port.
Quo-Test’s step by step instructions are displayed on its clear, multi-lingual display. Training time is thus kept to a minimum, allowing nurses and clinicians to concentrate on patient care.
The Boronate Affinity Advantage
Boronate affinity technology utilises covalent binding of all cis-diols of glucose to hemoglobin using a boronate matrix. This specific binding allows the complete separation of the glycated and non-glycated haemoglobin fractions.
Overall this provides a patient result with:
- No interference from practically all abnormal hemoglobins,
- Consistent performance with no calibration required,
- The security that glycated haemoglobin is measured accurately every time.
